You are the APPLE of my eye - Taiwan Fruits

The fruit not only is very good to health, but also become the ingredients. In Taiwan,there are many fruits all the year round. So,Taiwan is also be called fruit kingdom.
Spring fruits:
Cloud apple、Green plum、Loquat etc.
For example
Cloud apples are harvested from December to May of the following year. In Taiwan, most cloud
apples are grown in the Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Chiayi areas. Fresh, crisp, sweet cloud apples are purplish red in color.
Summer fruits:
Mangoe、Longan、Litchi etc.
For example:
The Mango season generally lasts from June until late August. Taiwan's main mango-growing areas are in Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Tainan counties. Mangoes are highly fibrous and have a pleasing fragrance. The color of the peel varies depending on the variety. Among the most common varieties, the Chinhuang is golden yellow and the Aiwen is reddish. Mangoes should be plump and sweet.
Fall fruits:
Wentan pomelo、Papaya、Persimmon etc.
For example:

Wentan pomelos ripen from late August through October. They are primarily grown in Tainan,
Miaoli, and Hualien counties. The town of Matou is famous for its Wentan pomelos. Eating pomelos is sort of a seasonal ritual in Taiwan; they sell very quickly around the time of the Autumn Moon Festival.
Winter fruits:
Ponkan、Guava、Indian jujube etc.
For example
Ponkan mandarin oranges have an orange-yellow peel and soft, juicy flesh. They are a citrus fruit and a symbol of good fortune and prosperity for the Chinese. They are thus commonly used as holiday gifts. Most ponkans are grown in Miaoli, Taichung, Chiayi, and Tainan counties. Ponkans are in season from September through December, and can be stored until January and February. "Green skin ponkans" ripen from October through December.
