Applying for a driving permit for your international driver's license

Beep, Beep, Mmmm, Beep, Beep Yeah!

A valid international driver's license of a eligible country & state is only valid for 30 days upon arriving in Taiwan . To extend that time period, one must get a driving permit (free) at a Motor Vehicles Office. Duration of extension is based on the agreement between Taiwan and the country that issued your International Driver's License.
You must prepare the required documents:
1. A valid International Driver's License (Accompanied with the actual driver's license) and a photocopy of it.
2. Passport and a photocopy of it.
3. A.R.C. (ALIEN RESIDENT CERTIFICATE) and a photocopy of it.
4. Application form for a driving permit (available from a motor vehicles office).
5. One photo (1 or 2 inches in size), black and white or color, front view of face without hat and taken within the past six months.
