Many people indicate the low cost to be the main factor, why Bangladesh is going to be the Ultimate Outsourcing Destination for the decade; I seriously argue here. Did I say Bangladesh is going to be the Ultimate Outsourcing Destination? Yes, I did, there is nearly no doubt about it.
The low cost of labor and living are surely blessings for Bangladesh. However, it is unwise to think that someone investing thousands of dollars for a solution, would risk it for few hundreds. Here comes about the ability to develop world class solutions. Yes, the skills of Bangladeshi developers are world class. They are competing in all sorts of contests with great remarks.
More importantly the talents are very sincere and manageable. The dedication of Bangladeshi talents is generally unparallel. They are mild in nature, hardworking, considering and on top of it very passionate to represent their country. They love their country and they are passionate about their work – this is the greatest value among them. This has given them an edge over their competitors.
The political situation of the country is reasonably stable in comparison to many of its competitors. Though the Prime minister and the Opposition leader rarely talked with each other, the country men are very peace loving and they hate violence. This is the core reason behind the regularly growing political stability of the country.
The lack of adequate infrastructure is the biggest issue in the journey to achieve the best position among the outsourcing destinations. Internet is quite expensive, black out happens quite regularly, huge traffic jam wastes a lot of man hours. The communication skill of the IT developers in the country is of another concern. However, with the sincerity, creativity and strong desire of the developers to work best; strongly dominates over these deficiencies. In the last decade, governments also put some serious efforts to build adequate infrastructure for IT and business. Bangladesh is enjoying the lowest call rate of cellular phones in the whole world. The English skills of the developers also improved a lot in the last decade.
With some challenges yet to be resolved, Bangladesh is growing great to achieve its position of the Ultimate Outsourcing Destination. With more efforts and facilities from the government, more efforts from the developers to get rid of communication skill barriers, regular effort from developers to keep them updated with latest technologies, there is no way that Bangladesh can miss earning this ultimate fate.
